Mattie Lou Parker

Mattie Tranum Parker, 97, passed away quietly in her sleep at Bruce Community Living Center in Bruce, MS. Tuesday, April 19, 2016. She was born October 18, 1918 in Calhoun County Mississippi to the late Morris Talmadge Tranum and Della Mae Shepard Tranum. She was the wife of the late Prentiss Leo Parker.
She enjoyed antiquing and fishing, she was a member of Bruce First Baptist Church in Bruce, MS. She leaves three daughters; Mitze Aron, Rita Stewart (Bill), and Janice Hawkins (Sam) Nine Grandchildren and Eighteen Great Grandchildren, She also leaves three sisters; Grace Sanders, Rubye West (Pete) and Jessie Barnes. She was preceded in death also by Three brothers, John D. Tranum, Robert Duran Tranum, and Charles Edward Tranum. One sister, Mary Blue.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 10 AM until 11 AM at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. Graveside service will follow in the Bruce Cemetery. Bro. Will Turner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bruce Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Aron, Dr. Jim Jim Aron, Joe Aron, Ronald Carter, Brad Gunter, Justin Hawkins, JR Hillhouse, and Billy Jack Stewart,II.
