Melissa Ann Ford

Big Creek, MS – Melissa Ann Ford, 50, passed this earthly on July 21, 2018 as a result of an accident, in Grenada County. She was born July 15, 1968 in Vardaman to the late parents of Everette Lee Brassfield and Eunice Marie Hardin Brassfield Moore. She was a employee of Winchester of Oxford and had previously worked at D&N Quick stop and T-N-T as produce manger. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church. Melissa met everyone she came in contact with a smile and hello. Her life was her family and friends. A unselfish woman who was the rock and glue to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Hope Brassfield, brothers, Tommy Brassfield, David Moore, step-father, Thomas Moore, and mother-in-law, Vivian Longest.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, John Dwayne Ford, Big Creek; daughters, Canzas Williams (Michael), Bruce, Alicia Dawn Longest, Bruce, Laken Webb (Dillan), Bruce, Haley Blanton (Kyle), Belmont; son, Cody Dwayne Ford, Belmont; sisters, Pamela McGreger, Vardaman, Virginia Moore, Oxford; brothers, Rodney Brassfield (Tina), Vardaman, Lester Brassfield, Houlka, Thomas Delaine Moore, Jr. (Maria), Houston, Christopher Lynn Moore (Beth), Tupelo, Gary Moore (Sherene), Oxford; father-in-law, David Longest, Bruce; grandchildren, Haley Williams, Skylar Williams, Call Williams, Wes Williams, Kaleb Ray Bullard, Bentley Ford, and Greyson Blanton.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Craig McCormick and Bro. Bill Williams officiating in the service at the chapel. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. Burial will follow I Memory Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be Paul Carter, Paul Carroll, Cody Ford, John Wayne Ford, II., Jacob Haire, Danny McCormick, Ronnie Tilghman and Kevin Tunnell.
