Michael McMahan, 61 of Bruce, Mississippi died on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Calhoun Health Services in
Calhoun City, Mississippi.
Born Monday, April 6, 1953 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Joe Oliver McMahan and Ruby
Ruth Johnson McMahan Raulston. He was the husband of Edna Ruth McMahan of Bruce, MS.
He was a graduate of Bolton High School in TN. He attended The University of Tennessee at Martin where he was a pitcher on the baseball team. He enjoyed motorsports especially dirt track racing. He was an avid Ole Miss football, baseball, and basketball fan. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family, especially his best buddy Bryce.
He was employed by Landreth Farms in the sweet potato industry.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Allen (Carla) Blackwelder of Bruce, MS, grandsons, Hayden McCostlin and Bryce Blackwelder both of Bruce, MS brothers, Wayne (Trisha) McMahan of Calhoun City, MS
and Jamie (Mary) McMahan of Schererville, IL, sisters, Bobbie Krantz of Galveston, TX and Linda (Jimmy) Gaskin of
Big creek, MS.
He was preceded in death his parents, by brothers, Harold McMahan and David McMahan, and a sister, Sandra
McMahan.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with
the Bro. Jamie McMahan and Dr. Daniel Hathorne officiating. Interment will be in Rocky Mount Cemetery, Pittsboro,
MS. Pallbearers will be Jim Gaskin, Jr., Jerry Inmon, Andrew Landreth, Andy Landreth, David McMahan, and
JimTaylor. Honorary pallbearers, Mac Burnett, Larry Collins, Don Countiss, Billy Lee, BP Coffee Drinkers, Joe
Tunnell, Joe Boy Tunnell, Kurt Tunnell.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Parker Memorial Funeral
Home, Bruce, Mississippi.
