Mickeal Lynn Newsom

Mickeal Lynn "Possom" Newsom, 68, of Bruce, MS departed from this life on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born on May 3, 1954 in Water Valley, MS to the late Earnest Opal Newsom and Eva Mae Bruner Newsom.

Mickeal enjoyed attending trade days and working on his cars. In his spare time Mickeal could be found in his garden or singing karaoke. Although Mickeal has departed from our lives, his treasured memory will hold a special place in the hearts of his loved ones.

Mickeal leaves behind five sons: Lee Newsom of Bruce, MS; Mike Perry of Batesville, MS; Albert Bagwell of Oxford, MS; James Newsom of IL; Bobby Newsom of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Nita Faye of Bruce, MS; three sisters: Myra White of Bruce, MS; Patricia Joan Glover of Paris, MS; Carolyn Shaw of Coffeeville, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Opal Newsom and Eva Mae Bruner Newsom; two daughters: Jenny Dardar; Teresa Ann Bagwell; two brothers: Robert Newsom; Billy Wayne Newsom.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Turkey Creek Baptist Church. The funeral service celebrating Mickeal’s life will take place on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Turkey Creek Baptist Church with Bro.Freddy Buchanan and Bro. Wade Myles officiating. Burial will follow in Turkey Creek Cemetery.
