James Michael "Mike" Burt, 57 of Pittsboro, Mississippi died on Sunday, November 9, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in
Tupelo, Mississippi.
Born Friday, September 20, 1957, in Calhoun County, MS. he was the son of the late Henry David Burt and Peggy
Marie Nix Burt of Bruce, MS. He was the husband of Elizabeth Gregory Burt of Pittsboro, MS.
He was a member of Mt. Comfort Baptist Church and Deacon, Calhoun County Masons, and Shriners Club. Men's
Sunday School Teacher and R.A.'s Teacher.
Survivors include, his wife, Elizabeth Gregory Burt of Pittsboro, MS. a son, Joseph Daniel (LaDonna) Burt of Bruce,
MS, daughter, Courtney Paige Burt of Minot, ND, one brother, Samuel (Kim) Burt of Banner, MS, one sister, Kathy
(David) Sullivan of Bruce, MS. His mother Peggy Marie Nix Burt of Bruce, MS. Grandchildren, Lakyn Burt, Caitlyn
Burt, Chloe Burt, Dakota Costin, Sarah Simpson, Zander Erwin, Braiden Lee, Aubrey Lee, Alexis Simpson White
(Heath).
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry David Burt, Grandparents, Bryan and Lillie Nix, Bill and Audie Burt.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. J.R.
Eaton officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Bruce, MS. Pallbearers will be Bruce Telephone Co.,
