Mildred Barnett Murphree

Vardaman, MS-Mildred Barnett Murphree, 94, passed this earthly life to go to her heavenly home, February 21, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center, Eupora. She was born May 23, 1924 in Humphries County to the late parents of Edward Barnett and Elma Mathis Barnett .

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wilson Murphree, brothers, Charles Barnett, William Barnett, J. B. Barnett and a sister, Francis Weeks.

She was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy for many years and served the Lord with grace. She loved her family and took great delight in her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Trish (James) Guest, Vardaman; granddaughter, Brandi Stewart, great grandchildren, Millie Stewart and Draper Stewart; brother, Johnny (Nell) Barnett , Drew.

Visitation and funeral service will be Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Vardaman Chapel. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.in the Chapel. Bro. Billy Adams and Bro. William Tribble will be officiating and Sister Margaret Adams will deliver the closing remarks and prayer.

Pallbearers will be Don Dugard, Bubba Guest, Spencer Hill, Austin Ledbetter Scott Ledbetter, Gwin Longest and Bart Stewart.

Memorials may be made to the Building Fund, Fairview Church of God of Prophecy, Houston, Mississippi.
