Mildred Bryant Spratlin

Mildred Bryant Spratlin, 87, passed this life on July 20, 2021, at Bedford Care Center in Marion, MS.

Mrs. Mildred was born on October 3, 1933 in Calhoun County, MS, to Bill Bryant and Marie Hubbard Bryant.

Mildred loved cooking and baking to share with others. She loved doing for others and encouraging them. She loved her children, grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved to read and she read a lot! Mildred had a passion for her lord and savior loving her Bible and studying it and going to church.  She loved growing tomatoes and roses and other flowers. She loved her late husband fiercely and missed him so much. She was 16 when they got married and they were married for only 25 years before he died young in 1975.

Those left to cherish Mildred's memory are two Daughters, Jeanne (John) Havard, of Meridian;  Joy (Mike) Ethridge, of Meridian;2 sons; Wesley Spratlin of Vardaman; Terry (Jerlynn) Spratlin of Pittsboro, three Brothers, Jerry (Carolyn) Bryant of Banner; J.C. (Dorothy) Bryant of Oakland, TN; Don Bryant of Bruce; 5 sisters, Billie Bollinger of Conway, AR;Karla Vanlandingham of Sulphur, OK;  Sue (Charles) Stone of Potts Camp; Della (Jimmie Dee) Vanlandingham of Mathiston; Deborah (Donald) Worsham of Potts Camp; ten grandchildren, Trent Spratlin, Kyle (Jessica) Ethridge, Shawn Sullivan, Caleb (Sydney) Ethridge, Jamie Spratlin, Bryant (Libby) Spratlin, Deidre (Brian) Johnson, Alison (Dennis) Lemonis, Erin (Blake) Kiker, Lori (Roger) Moore, Abby Havard;  twenty four great grandchildren and a brother-in-Law; E J (Ellen) Spratlin of Hot Springs, Ark.

Mildred is preceded in death by  her husband she loved so dearly Elmer Spratlin;  parents, Bill Bryant  and  Marie Bryant; brother, Carroll David Bryant; daughter-in-law, Gloria Spratlin.

The funeral service honoring Mildred's life will be held on Saturday, at  3:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial  Funeral Home  with Dr. Richard Wallace, Bro. Danny Spratlin, Bro. Donald Worsham, Bro. Ervin Wright, and Bro. Bryant Spratlin officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Parker Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Mildred will be laid to rest at Pinecrest Memorial Graden in Calhoun City. Those serving as Pallbearers will be:Andy Bollinger, Caleb Ethridge, Kyle Ethridge, Brian Johnson, Blake Kiker, Dennis Lemonis, Roger Moore, Jamie Spratlin, Trent Spratlin, Dudley Stone, Steve Vanlandingham and Shawn Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Chris Bryant, Rayburn Hood, Elion Murphree, Roger Spratlin, Rex Spratlin, Kirk Stone, Shane Stone, Bryant Worsham, Ervin Wright, Jeff Vanlandingham and Todd Vanlandingham.
