Myrtle Barefield

Myrtle Barefield, 100 of Bruce, Mississippi passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Bruce Community Living Center in Bruce, Mississippi.
Born Sunday, December 31, 1916 in Rocky Mount, Community, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Sartin and the late Lonie Logan Sartin.
She was the wife of the late Hubert Barefield.
She was a member of Thorn Church of God.
Survivors are two sons; Larry "Bud" (Carol) Barefield of Houlka, MS and D.R. (Kay) Barefield of Bruce, MS and a sister, Grace Scarbrough of Bruce, MS.  Four grandchildren; Larry (Amy) Barefield, Jeff (Pam) Barefield, Jason (Jessica) Barefield, and Demeka (Jason) Church and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers; Chester Sartin, Bill Sartin, James Sartin, and Olan Sartin and two sisters, Eva Tutor and Marie Ramsey.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander and Bro. Darrell Logan officiating with burial in Bruce Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Barefield, Jeff Barefield, Jess Barefield, Larry Barefield, Jason Church, Greyson Church, and Jacob Samuel.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476 hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi.
