Nell Jones Fooshee

Nell Jones Fooshee,88, of Bruce departed from this life on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Bruce Community Living Center. She was born on April 6, 1933, in Derma, Mississippi to the late Henry Allen Jones and Annie Therrell Jones.

Nell served as the secretary for the Calhoun County Hospital and Dr. O.B. Crocker for many years until her retirement. After retirement Nell spent her days as a homemaker that devoted her time to looking after the needs of her family. She was not only a devoted member of Bruce United Methodist Church where served as a greeter and an usher but she was also a part of the Bruce United Methodist Women activities. Although she has departed from our presence, Nell’s memory will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service celebrating Nell’s life will take place on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Her body will be laid to rest in Bruce Cemetery.

Nell is survived by; a daughter Donna Ledezma of Holly Springs, two grandchildren; Jonathan Ledezma of Byhalia, Manny Ledezma of Little Rock, AR, sisters; Bonnie Merritt of Hermitage, TN, Eunice Carter of Ashland, Rachel McPhail of Hernando and Billie Beasley of Bruce.

Nell is preceded in death by her husband John Fooshee and her parents Henry Jones and Annie Therrell Jones.
