Olivia Morgan Plunk, 76, departed for her eternal home on November 28, 2019 at Baptist Calhoun Nursing Home in Calhoun City. Born in Water Valley on October 5, 1943, Olivia was the daughter of the late William and Christine Floyd Morgan.
Olivia attended Bruce High School and upon graduation she furthered her education at Northwest Mississippi Community College. She was the dedicated secretary for the First Baptist Church of Bruce before transitioning into her new career. Olivia also served as the secretary for WO7BN Television before deciding to retire and enjoy her golden years. Olivia didn’t simply pass away. She held in her soul the cure to death, a relationship with Jesus where she worshiped Him at Parker Baptist Church when she was able.
Olivia leaves behind a loving circle of friends and family to carry her precious memory; two sons, Vernon Lee Plunk of Bruce, Jerry Alan (Stacey) Plunk of Bruce; three grandchildren, Joshua Plunk, Jenna Grace Plunk, and Johnathan Plunk of Bruce; aunt, Joann Floyd; sister in law, Ann Lowe Morgan; dear friends, Joe and Judy Carnaggio and daughter Melanie Carnaggio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; William and Christine Floyd Morgan; husband, Jerry Lee Plunk; brother, William Earl Morgan; uncle, Leon Floyd; father and mother in law, Theron and Frances Plunk.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 30, 2019, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. A funeral service remembering Olivia’s life will take place Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Home with Bro. Paul Morris and Bro. Paul Lowe officiating. Interment will take place in Memory Memorial Garden. John Ballard, Bill Morgan, Rick Morgan, Rob Morgan, Johnathan Plunk, and Joshua Plunk will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be: Bill Plunk, Dale Morgan, Joe Carnaggio, Ted Plunk, and Stephen Morgan.
