Ottis Faye Jenkins

Ottis Jenkins, 87, of Banner, MS departed from this life on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born on May 15, 1935, in Banner, MS to the late Clinton Henry Jenkins and Bernice Lee Shields Jenkins.

Ottis spent many seasons of life as owner and operator of Jenkins Service Center in Water Valley for 36 years until his retirement. He married his wife, Ann Atkinson Jenkins on March 01, 1960. In his spare time, Ottis could be found fishing and hunting. He loved shooting guns, especially rifles. Ottis will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sanga Ann Jenkins of Banner; son, Charles "Chuck'' (Regina) Jenkins of Banner; brother, Ronald Jenkins of Banner; four grandchildren: Christopher (Jessica) Jenkins, Walker (Dawn) Jenkins, Trea DeHetre, and Ryen Ashford; great-grandchild, Grant Jenkins; nephew, Ronald "Bubba" (Carlyn) Jenkins.

Ottis is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Henry Jenkins and Bernice Lee Shields Jenkins; brother, Charles Ray Jenkins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. The funeral service celebrating Ottis's life will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis "Moe" Gossett officiating. Joey East, Christopher Jenkins, Chuck Jenkins, Walker Jenkins, Scott Mills, and Richard Sinervo will carry Ottis to rest in Providence Cemetery.
