Pamela Nan Edwards

Pamela Nan Edwards, 59, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford, MS. She was born on May 30, 1962, in Bruce, MS, to the late Robert Eugene Edwards and Betty Jean Hardin Edwards.

Nan graduated from Bruce High School in 1980 and sought higher education at University Of Mississippi earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in education. Nan followed in the steps of her mother and taught school for several years prior to becoming the school attendance officer for Calhoun County School District until her retirement. Nan was an avid Ole Miss fan. She loved her family and Nan cared for her mother in the golden years of her life and took care of her during her time of decline in health. Nan's mother was her best friend and running buddy. Nan was a member of First Baptist Church of Bruce. Anyone that knew Nan loved her and she will be profoundly missed in the community.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and family to continue walking down the path of life: brother Gary (Linda) Edwards, of Bruce; two nephews Joshua (Alex) Edwards and John Massey. Two nieces Jessica Lee Edwards and Jamie (Heath) Parker. She is also survived by a host of cousins.

Nan is preceded in death by her parents Robert Eugene Edwards and Betty Jean Hardin Edwards.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. The funeral service honoring Nan's life will take place on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Logan and Bro. Ryan Reed officiating. Stephen Farmer, Mark Ferguson, Joey Grist, Don Hardin, Bill Malone, Robbie Monaghan, Shorty Sosa, and Lee Yancy will carry Nan to rest in Bruce Cemetery.
