Patsy Joy Hollingsworth

Patsy Joy Blue Hollingsworth of Vardaman, MS passed away at her home on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born on December 31, 1939, in Vardaman, Mississippi, to the late Bill and Yvalette Blue.

Patsy was a homemaker that devoted her time to looking after the needs of her family. Patsy filled her days with creativity, enjoying crafts and spending time with family and friends. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing hand and foot, she often brought laughter and joy to her games. She carried herself with elegance, always neatly dressed and thoughtfully put together. Patsy was a member of First Baptist Church Vardaman where she made many lifelong friendships.

She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the life in her absence: daughter, Patti (Bro. Mike) Ramage of Vardaman, MS; her son, Mark Hollingsworth of Bolling Green, KY; her sister, Linda Kay Spencer of Vardaman, MS; her grandchildren: Ashley Ramage, Kyle (Claire) Ramage; and her great-grandchildren: Benjamin Grey Ramage and Eleanor Blue. Patsy also leaves behind a host of beloved nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wayne Hollingsworth; father, Wilson "Bill" Blue; and mother, Yvalette Bailey Blue.

The family will receive friends Monday April 20, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Vardaman. The funeral service honoring Patsy's life will take place Monday April 20, 2026 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Vardaman with Patsy's son-in-law, Bro. Mike Ramage officiating. Patsy will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in Vardaman, MS. Kevin Diaz, Damon Nelson, Leslie Huffman, Walker Nicholes, Kyle Ramage, and Clay Spencer will be serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the First Baptist Church Vardaman Building Fund in Patsy's memory. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the love she radiated throughout her life.
