Patty Ledbetter

Patty Donette Ledbetter 62, left for her eternal home as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Saturday April 6, 2019.  She was born November 18, 1956 in Calhoun City to the late Thomas Mack Ledbetter, and Dorothy Cowsert Ledbetter.

Mrs. Ledbetter was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was 1974 graduate of Bruce High School ,and furthered her education at Northwest Mississippi Community College. Many years ago Patty moved to Washington,D.C. where she obtained employment with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Finger Print Division ;upon returning to Bruce she worked at Piggly Wiggly until her retirement in November 2018. Patty had a deep love for the salty waters and white sands of the Gulf Coast, where she could be found floating on the breeze in a sailboat or participating in a multitude of water sports.

She leaves behind one sister; Frieda Woodcock (Bill) of Long Beach, Mississippi. Two brothers; Phillip Ledbetter (Sherrie), and Scott Ledbetter (Susan) both of Bruce Mississippi. Three very special nieces; Amelia Sorensen (Travis), Lakyn Parker (Eric), and Rebecka Seiler (Dylan). In addition, she leaves behind one very special  nephew Austin Ledbetter(Misty).

Patty was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Mack Ledbetter, and Dorothy Cowsert Ledbetter; nephew, Justin Ledbetter; maternal grandparents, Luther and Maudie Cowsert; paternal grandparents, Jake and Winne Ledbetter.

The family will receive friends on April 8, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. In addition, to the visitation a celebration of Patty’s  life will take place on April 9, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Eric Payne will lead the celebration with burial following the service at Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be  Allen Truman,  Gary Ledbetter, James Flippo, Joe Cowsert, Mike Cowsert, and Rodney Mann.
