Paul Dane Gregory

Paul Dane Gregory, 74, passed this earthly life on Friday, June 12, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in the Rocky Mount Community on August, 11, 1945 to the late parents of Lewis S. Gregory and Lizzie Mae Hamblin Gregory.  Paul was a heavy equipment operator for Calhoun County Beat #2 until his retirement.  He was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church.  Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his late parents, son, William Brandon “Bill” Duke;  sisters, Rose Etta Murphree, Flo Ella Rogers; brothers, Troy E. Gregory, Larry W. Gregory; niece, Angie Wynn; and a nephew, J.B. Rogers

Those left to honor his memory are his wife of 50 years, Jackie Gregory, of Pittsboro, Mississippi; two sons: Karl Dwayne (Troy Siiter) Duke of Chicago, Illinois ; Charles Howard Duke of  Banner, Mississippi; sister, Lola Frances (Pete) McGee of Meridian, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Diane Gregory of Sycamore, Georgia; brothers: Roy L. (Shirley) Gregory of  Pittsboro, Mississippi ; Lewis L. (Jane) Gregory of Bruce, Mississippi ; grandchildren: Nicole (Scotty) Cotten, and Chase Duke of Bruce, Mississippi; three great grandchildren:Sutton Cotten, Sawyer Cotten, and Sage Cotten.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 14, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 3:00 P.M. A funeral service honoring Paul’s life will be Sunday following visitation at 3:00 P.M. with Bo. Pete Gregory and Bro. Sam Yarbrough officiating in the home going. The service will be in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Michael Cook, Scotty Cotten, Chase Duke,  Adam Graham, Jeff Haire and Brian Stewart.  Honorary pallbearers will be Homer Moore, Gerald McGreger, Jeff McGreger, Randy Hurst , Curt Tunnell and all nieces and nephews.  Burial will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery.
