Paul Bryan Shoemake

Paul Bryan Shoemake,74, of Bruce passed from this life on Friday, July 23, 2021, at his home. Born on July 22, 1947, he was a son to the late William Shoemake and Grace Bryant Shoemake.

Paul spent many years of his life crunching numbers as an accountant before deciding to retire and enjoy his golden years. Described as a strong willed yet kind hearted man, his proudest moments included not only seeing his late daughter, Dr. Nikki Patterson, graduate from medical school but also watching his granddaughter, Grace, grow up. Paul was an avid sports fan that found tremendous joy in watching his beloved Mississippi State Bulldogs play. Although Paul has departed from our lives, his treasured memory will hold a special place in the hearts of his loved ones.

Those left to continue walking down the path of life in Paul’s absence include three nephews: William “Bill” (Kim) Trimble of Brandon, and Authur Bryan “Artie” Trimble of Brandon and Mike (Elizabeth) Shoemake of Germantown; one granddaughter Grace Patterson of Starkville; son-in-law Jason Patterson of Starkville; and his four legged best friend Webster.

Paul was preceded in death by his daughter Dr. Nikki Patterson; granddaughter Aubrey Caroline Patterson; parents William Shoemake and Grace Bryant Shoemake; brother C. E. Shoemake; and  sister Ann Trimble.

The family will receive friends on Sunday,  July 25, 2021, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service remembering Paul's life will take place on Sunday,  July 25, 2021, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating. He will be laid to rest in Starkville at Memorial Gardens Park.
