Pauline Haynes Jackson

Pauline Haynes Jackson, 95, of Houlka departed from this life on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at her residence. She was welcomed into this world on February 14, 1927, in Houlka by her late parents Arlie Haynes and Mamie Dorthea Young.

Pauline spent many years as a switchboard operator at St. Dominic Hospital until her retirement. When Pauline wasn't working she could be found working in her garden and flower beds or watching the birds. Although she has departed from our presence, she has gone to rest in a place free sickness and the pains of age.

Pauline leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life; two sons: Robert Wayne Jackson of Houlka; and Chris Jackson of Houlka; three daughters: Barbara Bailey of Vardaman; Debbie Cooper of Houlka; and Tammy Jackson of Houlka; three grandchildren: Sheba Bailey, Michael Cooper, and Michelle Cooper; two great grands: Adrienne Myers, and Tori Tutor; one great great grandchild, Greyson Huffman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Strickland Jackson Jr; parents, Arlie Haynes and Mamie Dorthea Young; one brother, Edzel Haynes; one sister, Ethelene Mardis.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service celebrating her life will take place at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Sonny Burt, Tim Cook, Chris Jackson, Wayne Jackson, Ron Nolan, and Pete Weldon will carry her to rest in Poplar Springs Cemetery. John Paula Akins, Danny DeCosta, Andy Landreth, and Dean Patterson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
