Peggy Ann Brassfield, 56 of Calhoun City accepted the embrace of her heavenly father on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Houlka, Mississippi. Born Monday, May 27, 1963 in Bruce, Peggy was a daughter of the late Edmond Shumpert and late Hazel Boston Shumpert.
Peggy or better known as a loving mother, dedicated her life to taking care of her children. She was a homemaker by choice, and spent her days joyfully looking after her home. Peggy worshiped her Lord and savior Jesus Christ with exuberance at Derma Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are daughters, Sheena Wright (Daniel) of Houlka, MS, Savanna Bevill (James) of Houlka, MS and Amber Morris (Danny) of Pittsboro, MS, brothers, Dean Shumpert of Trebloc, MS and Benny Shumpert of Biloxi, MS, sisters, Edna Louise Shumpert of Calhoun City, MS, Mary Cathy Rimmer of Calhoun City, MS and Lounell Shumpert of Calhoun City, MS; 12 grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers; George Shumpert, Darrell Shumpert, Edmond Leonard Shumpert, Jr. and Jim Ed Shumpert.
Peggy will lie in repose from 5:00 P.M.- 7:00P.M on Thursday, November 21,2019 for friends and family to pay their respects. A funeral service will take place at 7:00 P.M on Thursday, November 21, 2019; lead Bro. Johnathan Peeples at the Bruce Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home.
