Richard Eugene Stanley, Jr.

Richard Eugene Stanley, Jr.,  55, of Olive Branch, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in Greer, South Carolina. Richard was born January 17, 1962 to Richard Eugene Stanley, Sr. and Linda Whittington in Memphis, Tennessee.
Richard, a "Jack-of-all-Trades and Master of None," was a devoted Son, Husband, Father, Brother, and friend to all. Richard was a Pirate at heart, letting out the occasional "ARRRRRRRGH" to highlight that fact.  Putting off his own needs to help others, Richard would give someone the shirt off his back and hem it to fit. He lived his life knowing that it was better to give than receive. He will be missed by everyone whose life was lucky enough to be touched by Richard's kind heart.
Richard leaves behind his wife Darlene Marr Stanley, Daughters Marrlee Stanley and Olivia McGrath, Step-Mother Lynn Stanley, Sisters Laura (Larry) Dell and Tami (Shawn) Bradley, Brother Joey (Dave) Amundsen, and host of nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation with the family at Holy Cross Episcopal Church In Olive Branch on Saturday December 30, 2017 from Noon until 2:00 PM with funeral service to celebrate Richard's life immediately following visitation starting at 2:00 at the church, where prayers for Richard's father, who passed away two days prior to Richard, will be offered in remberance.
Richard will be laid to rest in Blocker Cemetery in downtown Olive Branch following funeral services. Pallbearers include Hugh Brewer, Rocky Burton, Matt Daugherty, Larry Dell, Mike Maness, Mark Saripkin, Pat Thomason, and Eddie Tubah. Honorary pallbearers include Joseph Amundsen, Shawn Bradley, Dennis Daugherty,  and Dave Felix.
Richard was preceded in death by mother Linda Whittngton Stanley Bruce, Father Richard Eugene Stanley, Sr., and Step-Father Freddy Bruce. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holy Cross Episcopal Church.
The Family has entrusted Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce, Mississippi with arrangements.
