Robbie M. Greenwood

Robbie Myrtibeth Greenwood, 92, of Bruce, departed from this life on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Bruce Community Living Center. She was born on September 02, 1931, in Wills Point, TX to the late Robert David Jones and Lottie Porter Jones.

Robbie was a homemaker that spent her time seeking after the needs of others. She proved this by working as an elder care sitter. She also worked at Glenn Slacks and Kellwood. When Robbie wasn't looking after others she could be found cooking, tending to her garden, or working in her flowers. She loved to go to church and she attended Pittsboro Pentecostal Church.

She leaves behind three daughters, Carolyn Seymore of Shreveport, LA; Lottie Jones of Wallwalla, WA; Darla (Thomas) Reiff of Charleston, SC; Beverly Murphree Duke of Bruce, MS; two sons: Tim Murphree of Pittsboro; Ricky Murphree of Bruce; 11 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Robbie is preceded in death by her parents, Robert David Jones and Lottie Porter Jones; the mother that cared for her and raised her, Gladys Morgan Jones; three brothers: Ray Jones, Billy Jones, and James Jones; two sons: Robert Seymore and Bobby Murphree; husbands, James Elmer Murphree and Fe Greenwood; one grandson, Chris Doss.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 5:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service honoring Robbie's life will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 11:00A.M. in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with  Bro. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Oldtown Cemetery.
