Calhoun City, MS – Robert Earl (Bobby) Gulledge, Sr., 78, passed this earthly life surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Baptist Calhoun Hospital. He was born October 6, 1939 in Big Creek to the late parents of Walter Henry Gulledge and Ora Lee Cantrell Gulledge. He was a retired furniture factory employee. He enjoyed the outdoors, working on tractors and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church where he enjoyed worshiping with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Louise Ritchie, Jessie Mae Reedy; brothers, Alvin Ray Gulledge, George Arnold Gulledge and James Franklin Gulledge.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Gloria Odum (John), Calhoun City, Vickie Chandler, Calhoun City, Brenda Tallent (James) Vardaman; Son, Robert Gulledge (Laura), Bruce, and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Grace Fellowship Church at Calhoun City, Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, April 16, 2018 at Grace Fellowship with Dr. Jon Warren and Bro. Jimmy Vance officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Chandler, Colby Gulledge, Jacob Gulledge, Josh (Buckwheat) Monagham, Fred Mister and Tony Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Herrod, Johnny Kakales, Jessie Lindsay, John Odum, James Stone, James Tallent and Rickey Vanlandingham.
