Robert Joe Ellis

Vardaman, MS – Robert Joe Ellis, 71, passed away, Monday, April 23, 2018 at Sanctuary Hospice House, Tupelo after an extended illness. He was born, August 22, 1946 in Vardaman, to the late parents of Minnon Melvis Ellis and Martha Louise Crutchfield Ellis. Robert was a commercial trucker. Robert loved to fish and entertain his children and grandchildren and make everyone laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wanda Kay Ellis, sister, Martha Ellis and a grandson, Ricky Brian Frizzell.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Becky Stone (Roger), Derma, Dana Hamilton (Brett), Bruce, Jennifer Frizzell (Rick), Vardaman; sister, Norma Pettit, Houston; brothers, Richard Ellis, Vardaman, Phillip Ellis, Gore Springs, Charles Ellis, Vardaman; 6 Grandchildren, Roger Stone, Jr., Allan Stone, Jessica Watts, Haylon Hamilton, Macey Frizzell, Cary-Onna Frizzell, 6 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Vardaman. Bro. Cody Childress will be officiating. Burial will be at New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. till service time at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to service.

Pallbearers are, Allan Stone, Brett Hamilton, Haylon Hamilton, Carl Laster, Jason Laster and T.C. Laster. Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Watts, John Laster, Tsilvian Caulder, Kevin Roberts, Bryan Roberts and Brain Frizzell.
