Roland Benjamin Stewart, 84 of Calhoun City, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Health Care Nursing Home in Calhoun City, Mississippi.
R.B was born Saturday, September 10, 1932 in Calhoun City, Mississippi; he was the son of the late Upton Stewart and the late Ruthie Murphree Stewart.
R.B. served as a CPl in the Army from 1949 until 1953. He was a Veteran of Korean Conflict. He was a retired carpenter and truck driver.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Donna (Andy) Lovorn of Slate Springs, MS, Becky (Jamie) Keeton of Calhoun City, MS and Betty (Tony) Bryant of Bruce, MS, brother, Scotty Stewart, sisters, Betty (David) Hardin of New Albany, MS and Sharon Dunn; grandchildren, Kelly (Kim) Lovorn, Kim (Barry) Lenard, Jennifer (Donnie) Weeks, Keith (Ashley) Bryant, Heather Bryant, and Jody Bryant, 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Anita Jo Hardin Stewart, and his second wife Glynda Taylor Stewart.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at Calhoun City Cemetery with the Bro. Jimmy Vance officiating with burial following immediately after.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, March 6, 2017, at Calhoun City Cemetery, Calhoun City, Mississippi.
