Ruby Crawford

Ruby Crawford of Derma, 71, passed from this life March 3, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Calhoun City. Born on September 10, 1949 in Bruce, Ruby was daughter to the late Cleveland Doyle "D.C." Brasher and Stella Brasher.

Ruby was best known as a hard worker to provide for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish Ruby's memory are her husband, Johnny Crawford of Calhoun City;  four daughters: Gayle (Danny) Watkins  of Vardaman; Jeannie (James) Britt of Oxford, Betty Lou Brummett  of Vardaman, Linda Brummett of Oxford; one son, James (Brandy) Crawford  of Oxford; one brother, Robert Earl Brasher  of Houlka; nine grandchildren: Cynthia (Jimmy) Wheeler, James Buck (Abby) Fortner, Sara Murphree , Kallie Mottz, William Jacob Mottz, Kayla Marie (Ridge) Doty, Vera Crawford, Catherine Crawford, Madison Gayle Mahan; seven great grandchildren.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland Doyle "D.C." Brasher and Stella Brasher; one brother, Taylor Penny..

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 12:00 PM- 2:00 PM  at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service remembering her life will be begin at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Robert Lee Brasher, Jerry Brasher, Allen Bianco, James Buck Fornter, Jamie Goodson, and William Jacob Mottz will carry Ruby to rest in Collums Cemetery.
