Ruby Cooper Howell

Ruby Cooper Howell , 96 of Banner, Mississippi passed this earthly life on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Calhoun in Calhoun City, Mississippi surrounded by her love ones.
She was born Saturday, June 4, 1921 in Sarepta, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Carrie Huckaby Cooper.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life Woodrow Howell whom she met on Thanksgiving night in 1937 and also preceded by a daughter, June Davidson and her parents.

She was an Honor Graduate of Sarepta High School class of 1939, a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church were she taught Sunday School for years, Co-sponsored MYF, worked in Bible School, and loved her church. She managed the Sarepta School Cafeteria, worked at TW&L for 17 years and was a homemaker. She loved to garden, cook, work puzzles, quilting, embroidery work, and was the writer of the Shady Grove news for the Calhoun County Journal from 1956 until 2004.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Bobby Lee Howell (Faye) of Oxford, MS and Billy Randall Howell (Pam) of Banner, MS., Two Grandchildren: Keith Davidson (Norma) of Bruce, MS and Dustin Howell of Banner, MS, Two Great Grandchildren: Robin Davidson Carr (Eric) and Kelly Davidson of Bruce, MS.
The Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander and Bro. Lannis May Officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery, Banner, MS. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, Bruce, MS. Funeral Services entrusted to Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce, MS.
