Ruth Bryant Greene

Ruth Bryant Greene, 92, entered into her eternal home Saturday, February 16, 2019 at New Albany Health and Rehab after an extended illness.  She was born May 16, 1926 in Calhoun County, in the Old Town Community to the late parents of Clyde Bryant and Pauline Wagner Bryant.  She was a  graduate of Pittsboro High School, homemaker and a member of Old Town Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Armorette Box and Lola Chrestman, brothers, Thomas Bryant and Donald Bryant.

Ruth was a person that had a smile larger than life, she could light up a room with her laughter and personality. She enjoyed life and making others smile and laugh with her.  She kept her wit and joking ability to the end making her nurses and family smile and laugh to the end.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ruth Greene Padgett, Bruce; son, Terry Paul Greene, Cordova, TN; sister, Myra Bryant King, Bruce; grandchildren, K-La Padgett, Meleisa Watson, Erica Cole and Tyler Greene and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral services will be Monday, February 18, 2019 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. Bro. Joey Hamilton will be officiating in the service and burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Box, Benny Scott Bryant, Leslie Clyde Bryant, Richard Bryant, Steve Bryant, Jimmy Chrestman, Tyler Greene, Michael King, Tommy King and Pepper Watts.
