Ruth Evelyn Hyde

Ruth Evelyn Hyde of Bruce passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Calhoun in Calhoun City. Born May 27, 1931 to Albert Mann and Georgie Pickard Mann in Bear Creek, Alabama, she was 87.

Evelyn leaves behind Son Rickey (Beverly) Hyde of Bruce; Brother Horace Mann of Bear Creek, Alabama; Grandchildren Rickey Jason Hyde, Jr., Braden Ray Hyde, and Kimberly (Matthew) Evans; and Great-Grandchildren Jason Tyler Hyde, Caleb Jase Hyde, John Dalton Evans, and Kaylee Joy Evans.

There will be a visitation with the family on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Immediately following visitation, a funeral service celebrating Ruth’s life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home. Dr. Daniel Hathorne will officiate with prayers and words of comfort.

Following the funeral service, Ruth will be laid to eternal rest in Memory Memorial Garden.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her Mother and Father; Husband Dalton Hyde; Brothers Silas Mann, Robert Mann, Athel Mann, Howard Mann, and Murice Mann; and Sisters Velma Massey and Mae Swinney.
