Sammy Wayne Cumberland, 66 of Houston, Mississippi died on Friday, May 1, 2015, at Decendent's Residence in
Houston, Mississippi.
Born Thursday, October 28, 1948, he was the son of the late Norman Cumberland and Hazel Pilgrim Cumberland of Calhoun City.
He was the husband of the late Judy McKinney Cumberland.
He was a graduate of Calhoun City High School class of 1966.
Surviving are mother, Hazel Pilgrim Cumberland of Calhoun City, MS.daughter, Penny Hughes of Grenada, MS, step-daughter Beverly "Jimmy" Edge of Booneville, MS.
brothers, Charles "Gail" Cumberland of Big Creek, MS and Robert "Josi" Cumberland of Calhoun City, MS.
grandchild, Amber Michelle Hughes, step-granchildren, Mathew & Cody Edge
He was preceeded in death by step-son, Samuel Edge, sister, Ann Threadgill.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Damon
Tipton officiating. Interment will be in George's Chapel Cemetery, Houston, MS.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, May 4, 2015, at Parker Memorial Funeral
Home, Vardaman, Mississippi.
