Sandra Belle Bryan

Sandra Belle Bryan, 67 of Calhoun City, Mississippi passed from this life on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Baptist Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi. Born on May 25, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, she was a daughter to the late Jake Ross Bryan and Reba Posey Bryan.

Sandra, a hardworking lady, spent many seasons of her life in the pursuit of safety for the residents of Calhoun County as a dispatcher for the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department. She not only over saw the important details of emergency calls but she also carefully kept the books for Patterson’s Heating and Cooling. When Sandra wasn’t answering calls for help or recording checks she could be found with a brush in hand bringing a blank canvas to life with color. At the top of her list of hobbies, one could find Sandra joyfully adoring her grandchildren and spending quality time with them. Sandra didn’t simply pass away; she held the cure to death in her soul, a relationship with Jesus where she worshiped Him at Tabernacle Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include; one daughter, Jacque Olivia Russell of Calhoun City;  three grandchildren: Dalton Jake Russell and wife Jessica, Jess Bryan Russell, and Hagen Ross Russell; special friend, Charles Carter Hubbard (Joe Boy).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake Ross Bryan and Reba Posey Bryan; one sister, Kathy Ross Bryan.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The memorial service remembering Sandra’s life will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2020 in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce, with Bro. Harry Bryan officiating.
