Sandra Jean York

Sandra Jean York, 58, of Memphis passed from this life on March 03, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Sandra was welcomed into this world on September 24, 1962 by her parents Don Bailey and Pat Archer Mize in Memphis.

Sandra and her loving husband, James Edwin York, spent many blissful years together before her passing. This blessed union brought life to two children and countless memories made along the path of life. She spent many seasons of her life working for a medical insurance filling service. When Sandra wasn’t inputting data for claims, she could be found adorned in blue cheering on her beloved Memphis Tigers. When the Tigers were resting she preferred to be lost in the crisp pages of a good book. Above all, Sandra her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed watching them grow.

She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life; loving husband, James Edwin York; father, Don Bailey; mother, Pat Archer Mize; step father, Ellis Mize; one son, Daniel York; one daughter, Crystal Novak and husband Charles; one brother, David Bailey and wife Beth; one sister, Tammy Todd and husband Harold.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday March 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce.  Burial will take place in Bruce Cemetery.
