Sarah Elizabeth Nichols,73, of Houston passed from this life on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Bruce Community Living Center. Gracing this world with her presence on the spring day of April 10, 1948 in Houston, She was a daughter of the late Thomas Carl Cook and Lillian Luise Byars.

Sarah Elizabeth, better known as Beth, was a simply lady with a small stature but a large personality. This outspoken spitfire spent many seasons of her life caring for the sick and elderly as a nurse. Following retirement, Beth traded her scrubs for garden gloves and found the time to look after not only her beloved flowers but also her yard. Above all else, this lady of truth cherished and adored her children and her grandchildren. Although Beth has departed from our lives, her memory will hold a special place in the hearts of her friends and family.

She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence; husband, Buford “Nicky” E Nichols of Houston; three sons: Chris ( Mary Joy) Tedder of Bruce; Darren (Kim) Tedder of Vardaman; Nathan (Kayla) Nichols of Mantee; one daughter, Amanda (Joe) Hastings of Oxford; seven grandchildren: Haley Tedder, Hanna Tedder, George Tedder, Jackson Tedder, Kyle Nichols, Caroline Nichols, Landry Nichols; one sister, Darlene Clark of Houlka.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Carl Cook and Lillian Luise Byars; one grandchild, Danner Tedder; host of siblings.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Vardaman. The funeral service celebrating Beth's life will take place on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Reeder officiating. Preston Bailey, George Dean Tedder, Jackson Blue Tedder, and Charlie Naron will carry her to rest in Midway Cemetery.

The staff of Parker Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the family as they begin this new season of life. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
