Sharon Russell Bumgart

Sharon Russell Bumgart, 65, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022, in Pittsboro, MS. Sharon was born on November 25, 1956, in Calhoun City, MS, to the late William "Bill" Russell and Hazel Capwell Russell.

Sharon served many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Calhoun Health Services before she retired. When she was not at work, she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She also loved to work outside in the yard tending to her flowers and roses. Sharon was a member of Pittsboro First Baptist Church.

Sharon is survived by her mother Hazel Capwell Russell of Bruce, MS; her husband Jimmy Bumgart of Pittsboro, MS; a daughter, Hassie (Will) Weldon of Bruce, MS; two sons: Jacob Russell and John James Bumgart both of Calhoun City, MS; a sister Linda Russell Johnson of Tuscaloosa, AL; two brothers: Billy (Dawn) Russell of Hattiesburg, MS, and Mike (Teresa) Russell of Pittsboro, MS; and four grandchildren: Logan McAlester, Analeese Peacock, Brody Peacock, and Ellyssa Jade Beason.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father William "Bill" Russell and her best friend Kay Parnell.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 28, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. The funeral service celebrating Sharon's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home, Bruce with Bro. Vince Anderson officiating. Burial will follow Pittsboro Cemetery with Mackie Brasher, Dave Gable, John Hollis, Ottis Poynor, Dalton Russell, Dustin Russell, and Jacob Russell serving as pallbearers.
