Sherrie Michelle Winter Ledbetter of Coffeeville, MS, born on June 10, 1965, in Bruce, Mississippi, passed away on April 21, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, at the age of 60. She was the daughter of the late Denzil Winter and JoAnn Winter.

Sherrie served as an Office Manager for Dr. Bruce Longest at Bruce Family Medical Center for 37 years. She was a graduate of Bruce High School, Class of 1983. A member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Sherrie was also an avid lover of the outdoors. She enjoyed riding horses, spending time at the lake, riding in the side-by-side with her husband, and working diligently in her yard.

Sherrie had a passion for animals, which was evident in her care for pets and wildlife alike. Sherrie was known for her culinary skills, particularly her talent for cooking and canning, which she often shared with family and friends.

Above all, Sherrie was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Mac Ledbetter; her daughter, Lakyn (Eric) Parker of Bruce, MS; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Ledbetter of Bruce, MS; her sisters, Cindy (Jon) Ferguson and Laura Mae (Carlton) Leachman all of whom are of Bruce, MS; her brothers, Mike (Teresa) Winter of Pittsboro, MS and Ken (Donna Sue) Winter of New Albany, MS. Along with a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. This will be followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 PM with Bro. Darrell Logan and Bro. Austin Williams officiating. Sherrie will then be laid to rest at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, where she will be honored and remembered by her family and friends. Serving as pallbearers are Bobby Gordan Brown, Michael Cook, Roncie Hardin, John Levy, Dr. Bruce Longest, and Jerry Moore.

Sherrie was preceded in death by her father, Denzil Winter; mother, JoAnn Thompson Winter; son, Justin Allen Ledbetter; and niece, Andrea Howell.

The staff of Parker Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the Ledbetter family as they walk through this season of loss. We ask that you keep them, in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the passing of their loved one.
