Sherry Lynn Christ

Bruce — Sherry Lynn Gamble Christ 71, a long time resident of Bruce, passed away Sunday the 2nd of February at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

Born in Memphis, TN, on August 13, 1948 Sherry grew up in Senatobia, MS & graduated from Senatobia High School in 1965. She continued her education at NWCC & majored in Piano where she met John W. Christ. Sherry & John were married on December 27, 1966

She went on to work for the U. S. Forestry Service, the U. S. Attorney’s Office, & then as the Purchasing Agent for the USDA Agricultural Research Service in Oxford, MS where she worked until her retirement.

Sherry enjoyed to vacation in Orange Beach & Bon Secure, AL areas, & sitting on their boat at sunset when they spent time on Pickwick Lake, TN. She loved spending time with her children & grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow R. Gamble & Lena Mildred Wolfe Gamble & survived by her husband, John & their children, John Jr. & wife Colleen, Patrick & Emily, as well as 4 grandchildren, Jackson, Jacob, John Walker, Annsley, & her brother Ronnie Gamble.

A memorial services will be held at Parker Funeral Home, Bruce, on Wednesday, February 5th at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home.
