Mr. Stanley Gale Dye, 62 of Pittsboro, Mississippi died on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at his residence in Pittsboro, Mississippi.
Born Friday, October 2, 1953 in Middletown, Ohio, he was the son of the late William Rex Dye and the late Jonnie Lee Deaton Dye. He was the husband of Linda Bradford Dye.
He was employed by Weyerhaeuser. His previous work experience was Ohio Department of Corections and Armco (AK) Steel in Ohio and Kelwood Company.
He served as a Sgt in the Marine Corps from 1972 until 1976. He was a Veteran of Vietnam.
He was a member of Old Town Baptist Church.
He is Survived by his wife of 37 years Linda Bradford Dye son, Ches Dye of Mobile, AL, brother, Bill Dye and wife Donna of Middletown, OH, sister, Lynda Jane Smith and husband Tommy of Pittsboro, MS.
He was predeceased by daughters, Abby Gale Dye and Mandy Lynn Watson.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Darrell Logan officiating assited by Bro. Sam Yarbrough. Interment will be in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Vardaman, MS.
Pallbearers will be: Steve Bryant, Cody Clements, Casey Deaton, Sput Deaton, Jerry Haire, Ben Hellums, Bill Malone, and Pepper Watts.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Michael Bradford, Shaun Bradford, Josh Deaton, Jeffrey Dye, Bud Martin, and Tommy Watts.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476 hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital 501 Saint Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, Old Town Baptist Church 51 CR 107 Pittsboro, MS 38951.
