Stephen Leroy Baker, Jr.

Water Valley-Stephen Leroy Baker, Jr., 33, passed from this life suddenly Saturday, September 23, 2017 as a result of a vehicle accident in Yalobusha County.  He was born June 27, 1984 in Grenada, Mississippi.  Stephen was a carpenter and a construction worker and a person of many talents, he was gifted by God, giving him the skills of being a artist. He loved the outdoors, hunting and the sport of baseball.  He was a graduate of Bruce High School Class of 2002 and a member of Liberty Road Baptist Church where he made his profession of faith.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Jennifer Nicole Smith Baker, Water Valley, MS; a daughter, Chalyn Nicole Baker, Water Valley, MS; a son, Bryson Lane Baker, Water Valley, MS; his mother, Sheena Miller Blount "Robert", Water Valley, MS; his father, Stephen Leroy Baker, Sr. "Brenda Kay Lambert", Water Valley, MS; two brothers, Jonathan Baker, Water Valley, MS and Joseph Lee Baker, Water Valley, MS; three sisters, Brigit Burt 'Sid', Houlka, MS, Lauren Murphree 'Joel', Bruce, MS and Jessyca Baker, Atoka, TN; grandparents, Billy and Ann Miller, Bruce, MS, Charles and Betty Baker Thomas, Water Valley, MS, Robert and Alecia Blount, Water Valley, MS and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny and Mozell Stacy, Billy Wayne Miller and Lera Ward, Ham Baker and great grandparent Beatrice Hardin.

Visitation will be Monday, September 25, 2017 at the funeral home  from 5:00P.M. to 8:00P.M.. The funeral service will be Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 2:00P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Banner Cemetery. Officiating in the service will be Bro. Stoney Moorhead and Bro. Jacob Samuel.

Pallbearers will be Jarrett Bennett, Trey Brower, Toby Dye, Devin Garner, Jay Hodge, Eric Parker, Randy Poyner and Jonathan Stewart.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Carter, Jon Lenard, Jeff Clark, Jason Mann and Tony Martin.
