Tangela Winter Washington

Tangela Winter Washington, 45, of Bruce passed from this life on October 21, 2020 at her home. Born on July 6, 1975 in Pontotoc, Tangela was a daughter to the late Tony Lee Winter and Joy Ann Graham Winter.

Tangela, affectionately known as Tangie, was a 1993 graduate of Bruce High School. She dedicated many years of her life to looking after the residents at Baptist Calhoun Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant. When Tangie wasn’t looking after the needs of others, she could be found getting lost in the creative world of coloring. In true southern fashion, Tangie knew her way around the kitchen and found satisfaction when the elements of a meal came together. As a member of Bruce Church of God of Prophecy, Tangie valued the redeeming power of love that Christ granted to her many years ago.  Though she has departed for a place beyond our comprehension she will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Tangie is survived by her dedicated husband, Ronald Lynn Washington of Bruce; two sons: Ashton Reese Washington of Bruce ; Christopher Alexander Washington of Bruce ; one daughter, Joy Brenae Washington of Bruce ; two sisters: Angie Winter Kelly of Banner ; Crystal Winter Garcia of Bruce.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony Lee Winter and Joy Ann Winter; one brother, Tony Mack Winter

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. The funeral service remembering Tangie’s life will take place in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 3:00 PM with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating. Robert Lee Brasher, Ashton Reese Washington, Christopher Alexander Washington, Gary Washington, Richard Wayne Winter, and Mike Winter will carry Tangie to rest in the Antioch Cemetery.
