Teresa Kelly Green

Teresa “Terry” Kelly Green passed away on Monday, July 1st, 2025 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. She was born in Booneville, Mississippi in 1958 to parents Robert Walton Kelly and Elois Rutherford Kelly. Terry was one of 8 siblings.

A proud graduate of Wheeler High School, Teresa was honored to be valedictorian of the spirit of the 1976 class, showcasing her dedication and determination that would characterize her life. She channeled her organizational skills and warmth into her work as a receptionist at Southern Quality Meats, where her smile was a welcoming sight for customers and colleagues alike.

She enjoyed listening to classic rock music, spending time with her one and only miracle baby girl, Emily Ann, and Terry also loved to have a good time. She enjoyed being outside with her animals, and she also kept everyone updated with the latest television show she was watching.

Teresa was a devoted member of the Sarepta Baptist Church, where she found community and strength within her faith. Her devotion to her church family mirrored her commitment to her loved ones, always supporting them with love and compassion.

Terry was also a resilient fighter, beating cancer twice over the past 6 years. Through all of the appointments, treatments, procedures, she smiled through it all. Terry was a bright star in a world of dull. She was always full of light, laughter, and smiles. She never failed to fill the people around her full of joy and laughter.

She is survived by her cherished daughter, Emily Warren (Jesse) of Randolph, MS; her loving sisters, Elaine Remmers (Clyde) of Booneville, MS and Nancy Harris (Tony) of Corinth, MS; her brothers, Keith Kelly (Donna) of Rienzi, MS, Greg Kelly of Tupelo, MS, and Joe Kelly of Booneville, MS. Her soul and spirit could never compare to another and she will be cherished and carried on in the memories of her loved ones for the rest of their days.

A public viewing will take place on July 5, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM in the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Vincent Anderson officiating, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Teresa's life and to share cherished memories. Teresa will be laid to rest at Memory Memorial Garden following the funeral service.

Serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Herring, Derek Stevens, Jeremy Hare, Jeff Bennett, Brian Kelly, Robert Kelly, Jesse James, and Joe Bennett. Honorary Pallbearers include Danny Turner, Mike McDonald, Rick McDonald, and Rodney McDonald.

In reflection of a life well-lived, Teresa Kelly Green will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the profound love she showed to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is proceeded in death by her spouse and love of her life, William Dale Green; her father, Robert Walton Kelly; her mother, Elois Rutherford Kelly; her brother, Robert (Bob) Dale Kelly; her sister, Shirley-Ann Kelly Hare; as well as her and Dale’s beloved pet chihuahua of over 15 years, Clyde Dale Green.
