Thelma Davis, 83 of Oakland, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Jackson Madison County Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, June 1, 1933 in Bruce, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Charlie York and the late Rutie Jones York. She was the wife of the late James M. Davis.
She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Nylene Riley of Jackson, TN, brothers, Al York of Memphis, TN and Charles York of Bruce, MS; grand children, Audra Hines of Jackson, TN, April Riley of Memphis, TN, Stacy Ferris of Logan UT, Jamie Simper of Columbia, SC, and Will Riley of Jackson, TN.
She was predeceased by son, Randy Davis, daughter, Judy VanCanneyt, brothers, Jack York and Ed York, sister, Aleen Smith.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Hood officiating. Interment will be in Bruce Cemetery, Bruce, MS.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476 hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi.
