Thelma Jane Liles

Thelma J. Tutor Liles, 80, of Bruce, MS passed away at her home in Bruce, on Sunday, December 11, 2022. She was born on September 28, 1941 in Pittsboro, MS to the late Artis Herman Tutor and Jimmie Etoyle Burt Tutor.

Thelma worked in the resturant industry where her patience let her personality shine.

The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 in Bruce Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Bro. Craig McCormick officiating. Bubba Guest, Christopher Tanner, David Tanner, Ricky Tramel, Chad Whitworth, and Jake Walls will serve as pallbearers.

She leaves behind her son, James "Spanky" (Alvina) Shoemaker of Banner; daughter in-law, Carol Shoemake of Calhoun City; two grandaughters: Michelle (Allen) Shoemaker and Krystle (Michael) Griffin; two grandsons: David (Courtney) Tanner and Christopher Tanner.

Thelma is preceded in death by her parents, Artis Herman Tutor and Jimmie Etoyle Burt Tutor; four brothers: M.H. Tutor, M.L Tutor, R.V. Tutor, and Paul Tutor; sister, Geneva Tutor Baker; son, Mikel "Waddles" Shoemaker.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Thelma's name to the Dog Lovers League where her precious CC came from. Rose Wells: 225 Thompson St, Bruce, MS 38915.
