Timothy Alan Castleberry

Timothy Alan Castleberry of Banner passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Calhoun following an extended illness. A native of Bruce, Tim was born on December 15, 1959 in Bruce to K.P. and Macie Harmon Castleberry. He was 59.
Tim worked for Barefeild Construction where he was a Heavy Equipment Operator and Foreman. A member of Lantrip Baptist Church, Tim enjoyed woodworking and crafts when time allowed. A devoted family man, Tim’s heart and love belonged to his wife Elnora, along with their children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all of them.
Tim leaves behind his Father, Mr. K.P. Castleberry of Banner; Wife, Elnora Kelley Hunt Castleberry of Banner; Son, Jeff (Lucinda) Hunt of Dallas, TX; Daughter, Tracy (Kristi) Hunt of Houston, TX; Sister, Sandy (Roger) Turner of Derma; and Grandchildren, Channing Hunt, Jayden Hunt, Zoie Reisner, and Hayden Reisner.
A visitation with the family was held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at which time a funeral service followed in the chapel celebrating Tim’s life. Brother Robert Earl Alexander and Brother Darrell Logan led prayers as the Officiants of services.
Following services, Tim was laid to eternal rest in Spring Creek Cemetery in banner. Pallbearers included Jeff Barefield, Ricky Box, Channing Hunt, Cody Leachman, Hayden Reiser, Cory Threwett, Mark Threwett, and Tyler Turner. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Paul Gallagher, Craig Turner, along with several of Tim’s Cousins.
Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Macie Harmon Castleberry.
In lieu of flowers, Tim’s family ask that memorials be made in his honor to the Spring Creek Cemetery Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce is honored to be entrusted by Tim’s family in helping to make arrangements celebrating his life.
