Tina Marie Jenkins

Tina Marie Jenkins, 37, of Hattiesburg departed from this life on Friday, January 06, 2023 at Merritt Health Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on November 06, 1985 in Oxford to Ronald Clinton Jenkins, Jr. and Carlyn Brown Jenkins.

Tina attended and graduated from Mississippi School of Math and Science in 2004. She attended and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2007.

She loved plants, pets, gardening, and the wonders of the outdoors. She loved walking and riding her bike. She also loved cooking and trying different things. She cared for the children in her neighborhood by often planning activities for them. Her last place to work was her employment for her beloved University of Southern Mississippi. She was particularly fond of bookkeeping, administrative planning and also event planning to help anyone.

Tina leaves behind her parents, Bro. Ronald Clinton "Bubba" Jenkins, Jr. and Carlyn Brown Jenkins of Banner; brother, Clinton Lee Jenkins of Oxford; grandparents, Ronald Clinton Jenkins, Sr. of Banner; Larry and Gloria Brown of Paris; boyfriend, Tim Friday of Hattiesburg; uncle, Josh (Betsy) Brown of Toccopola; cousin, Johnathan Reeves of Bruce.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Patricia Webb Jenkins; aunt, Debra Ann Vaughn.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Drivers Flat Baptist Church. The funeral service celebrating Tina’s life will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Drivers Flat Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Foster officiating. Eddie “Bubba” Defer, Michael Defer, Tommy Defer, Charles Jenkins, Chris Jenkins, and Walker Jenkins will carry Tina to rest in Drivers Flat Cemetery.
