Tom Terry, 72, passed away suddenly on April 7, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Oxford after a brief illness. He was born August 7, 1948, in Bruce to the late Jim Ray Terry and Christine Ellis Terry.
Tom was a logger and construction worker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and doing mechanic work in his spare time. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.
Those left to honor his memory are: his daughters Nikki Springer of Houston, MS; Candace (Matt) Hatfield of Pittsboro, MS; and Lisa (Kurt) Taylor of Calhoun City, MS; son Chris (Tammy) Terry of Calhoun City, MS; and brother Sam Ed Terry of Calhoun City, MS; special friend Jan; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Christine Terry, son Guy Steven Terry, brothers: Billy Ray Terry and William Terry.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 9, 2021, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. A funeral service honoring Tom will be Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Bro. James Taylor officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hunter Hatfield, Tyler Hatfield, Josh Mayhall, Gunnar Moore, Parker Terry, and Michael Williams. Honorary pallbearers are: Brentley Moore, Nash Moore, Scotty Morris, Steven Taylor, Spec Poynor, and Tom’s cousins.
