Tony (Tone-Tone) Edward Moore

Tony Edward (Tone-Tone) Moore, 59, passed away on April 1, 2024, at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.

Tony was born on September 6, 1964, in Vardaman, MS to Johnathon Moore and Mary Alice Baker McDonald.

He graduated from Vardaman High School in 1982. Tony served his country by serving in the US Army.  After four years in the army, he became an independent truck driver.  He loved anything Mississippi State and was in Omaha with his nephew cheering them on when they won the National Championship. He also loved to garden and deer hunt. He had a heart of gold and was a role model for many young people.  He loved to talk and as a result never met a stranger! He also liked to shoot pool and go bowling. He attended the Nazarene Church in Houston.

Tony is survived by his father Johnathon (Sandy) Moore, of Houston, MS; his mother Mary Alice (Butch) McDonald, of Vardaman, MS; sister Wendy Scott of Vardaman, MS; brother Brandon Moore, of Pasco, WA; niece Angel Scott; nephew Austin Scott; very close cousin/sister Deonda (Donald) Dobbs, of Houston, MS; two very special nieces: Ashley Nabors and Megen Nabors; his pets: Laci, Missy, Max, Ruby, and Chevy.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Bill Baker, Opal Springer, Henry Moore, and Naomi Moore.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman. The funeral service will be Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman with Bro. Scott Samuell officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in the Atlanta community with military honors. Serving as pallbearers will be: Caitlin Lester, Tommy Lester, Dillon Hill, Carl Ray Mooneyham, Jimmy Mooneyham, and Joe Mooneyham. Honorary pallbearers will be: Landon Fletcher, J. R. Free, Angel Scott, and Austin Scott.
