Travis Perrin Ward, 71, of Bruce passed from this life on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home. Born on March 23, 1950 in the Holcomb community, he was a son to the late Travis Ward,Jr. and Muriel Goodson Ward.

Perry, a member of the United States Army, faithfully served his country during the Vietnam Conflict as a Missile Technician. He spent many seasons of his life repairing vehicles as a mechanic. Aside from working, Perry not only found joy in looking after horses but also in the relaxation of reading. He could also be found kicked back in favorite sitting spot on the couch watching a variety of old movies. As master at trading, Perry was notorious for his wheeling and dealing. Although Perry has departed from our lives, his treasured memory will hold a special place in the hearts of his loved ones.

He leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in his absence; two daughters: Tracey (Tony) Markham of Tunica; Lisa (Dusty) Dawson of Dundee; three grandchildren: Jessica Graves, Lance Perrin Stribling, and Alina Braswell ; eight great grandchildren: Andi Kate, Leland, Battle, Parker, Nobel Perrin, Kara Beth, Emma, and Molly ; one brother, Jimmy (Denise) Ward of Banner; one sister, Larisa (Barry) Campbell of Grenada.

Perry was preceded in death by his parents, Travis Ward,Jr. and Muriel Goodson Ward; two brothers: Mike Ward and Murry Glen Ward

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service remembering his life will take place on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Manelli officiating. Tristan Anthony, Wayne Anthony, Peyton Estes, Mark Lancaster, Lance Stribling, and Doug Ward will carry Perry to rest in the Ward Family Cemetery.

The staff of Parker Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they pass through this difficult season of life.
