Victoria "Vicki" Owens Potter

It is with Great sadness that her loving family shares that Victoria "Vicki" Owens Potter passed on July 24, 2024, at her home in Big Creek, MS. Throughout her 26 years career as a nurse, Vicki put others first. Nursing is a calling, a lifestyle, and was her way of living. Vicki is not remembered by her 26 years as a nurse but by the difference she made during those years by stepping into people's lives in special moments.

Vicki was born on January 14, 1944 and raised in Norfolk, VA. She attended Norview High School. She then moved back to MS. in 1969. She went on to attend Northwest C.C. in Oxford, MS. She graduated in 1998 as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

She is survived by a brother, Felix G. Owens; children: Cynthia "Cindy" Dodson Dewberry, Sandra "Sam" Dodson, Preston Kellum, and Teresa Betts Collum. Grandchildren: Julie Hamilton, Dustin Johnson, Aaron Reece, Burkley Kellum, Aubrey Long, Alyssa Long, Chase Collum, and Owen Collum. Great-grandchildren: Baylas Hamilton, Bentley Hamilton, Delainie Johnson, Levie Johnson, and Haley Reece.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Lucy Owens; two brothers: Steve and Glen Owens.
