Mary Virginia Stone Murphree, 76 of Houston, formally of Bruce, Mississippi, Surrounded by her family at her son's home in
the Thorn Comunity. She went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday January 13.
Born Tuesday, February 21, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Charles Clifton Stone and the late Therrie Higginbotham
Stone. She was the wife of the late Costin Lynn Murphree.
Surviving are sons, Roy Lynn Murphree and wife Brenda of Amory, MS and Scott Murphree and Susie of Houston, MS, daughter, Janice Vaughn and husband Terry of Bruce, MS, brothers, Kenneth Stone of Vardaman, MS, Charles Stone of Potts Camp, MS, David Stone of Hernando, MS and Billy Stone of Senatobia, MS, sisters, Frances Savoie of Memphis, TN,
Vickie Darnell of Oxford, MS and Reda McFarland of Hot Springs, AR; 7 grand children; 15 great grand children.
She was predeceased by sisters, Sue Coats of Randolph, MS, Barbara Cardwell of Vardaman, MS, Mildred Hamilton and Jean Wilson. Great Grand Child Savannah Joy Hall.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday at First Pentecostal Church with the Bro. Kenneth Wilson officiating assited by Bro. Jerry Wilson, Bro. Donnie Coats, Bro. Jason Salisbury, and Bro. Jerad Murphree . Interment will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery, Vardaman, MS.
Pallbearers will be: Bruce Hall, C.J. Murphree, Jerad Murphree, Jeremy Murphree, Peyton Murphree, and Jason Salisbury.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Latosha Hall, Tonya Salisbury, Marissa Vaughn, and Miranda Vaughn.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2016, at First Pentecostal Church, Houston,
Mississippi.
