Virginia Earline Vanlandingham

Virginia Ward VanLandingham, 84 of Vardaman passed away Thursday afternoon in Hospice Care at NMMC, Tupelo MS. She was born June 21, 1934 to late parents Maylon Ernest Ward and Elizabeth Wheeler Ward. Virginia was a lifelong member of Vardaman Baptist Church and retired seamstress from Kellwood in Calhoun City. She had a contagious smile that changed the dynamic of any place she entered. When the Lord created Virginia he gave her an extra dose of generosity to brighten the lives others as she so often did.

She is survived by her husband of 64 ½ years, William Fred VanLandingham of Vardaman,Mississippi.Sister; Joann James of Derma, Mississippi. Brothers; Carl Ward of Memphis , Tennessee ;and George Ward of Bentonville Arkansas. Son Richard (Angela) VanLandingham of Memphis, Tennessee. Grandchildren; Taylor VanLandingham of Richmond, Virginia and Tyson VanLandingham of Denver, Colorado and great-grandchildren Amara and Noah.

Pallbearers will be Stacy Hawks, Bryant McCluskey ,Craig Williams, Dillon Williams, , Richard VanLandingham and Tyson VanLandingham.

The family will receive friends at Vardaman First Baptist Church, on Saturday April 20, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM ,and Sunday April 21,2019 from 1:00PM-3:00PM . In addition, A celebration honoring the life of Virginia will take place at the church on Sunday April 21, 2019 at 3:00 PM with Bro.Fred Hartley and Bro.Johnathan Peeples officiating. Virgina will be laid to rest at Midway Cemetery  in Vardaman.
