Virginia Lynn Winter

GORE SPRINGS – Virginia Lynn “Ivy” Winter, 50, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at her residence. She was born July 24, 1962, in Bruce, to L. Ivy and Bulin Timms Ivy. She was a homemaker.

Service is at 10 a.m. Monday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Truman Scarbrough officiating. Interment is at Bruce Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Jonathan Winter (friend, Mandy Anthony) of Big Creek; two stepdaughters, Miracle Dunn of Tupelo and Katie Dunn of Tupelo; half-sister, Joy Ivy of Bruce; stepmother, Annette Ivy of Bruce; three grandchildren, Anna Belle Katherine Yelverton, Alicia J. Yelverton and Adain Lane Yelverton; and lifelong friend, Allen Dunn of Gore Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers are Hunter Bailey, Joey Fleming, Chris Flowers, Steve Frennis, Tim Frasier, Chris Spencer, Shane Webster and David Winter.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
