Vivian Bollinger Massey, 95, passed this earthly life on Friday, May 28, 2021, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford. She was born July 11, 1925, to the late parents Henry Price Bollinger and Annie Eliza Black Bollinger.
Vivian was a member of Banner Baptist Church in the community where she lived until her recent illness. She was a homemaker that loved her home and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her flowers, knitting, and making blankets for her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Price and Annie Black Bollinger; sisters: Marie Morgan, Ruth Crutchfield, and Ruby Faye Parker; brothers: Durane Bollinger, Dero Bollinger, Henry XL Bollinger, LaDerle Bollinger, Maxey Bollinger, and Watson Bollinger.
Those left to honor Vivian’s memory are her daughter Deborah Jane (Andy) Buchanan, Holly Springs; sons: Gary (Faye) Massey, Oxford; and Larry Dean (Gail) Massey, Oxford; 5 grandchildren: Christy (Brent) Larson, Dean (Christine) Massey, Alecia (Jason) Russell, Andrew (Ginger) Buchanan, and Mary Frances (Devon) Thrash, 11 great grandchildren, and a special friend and caregiver Rose Gladney.
A private graveside service will be held Sunday, May 30, 2021, at 2:00 PM in Bruce Cemetery with Bro. Danny Kelley officiating the service. Those serving as pallbearers are Terry Joe Blount, Andrew Buchanan, Joe Cowsert, Sam Larson, Will Larson, Gary Ledbetter, and Devon Thrash.
